Do you like reading a story and telling that story to your friends as well ? Do you like to be the center of attention ? Get yourself ready to tell the story you read to a wide-spread people in BEYOND 2015 !!! Make yourself the new champion of the new story telling competition this year !

Rules and Eligibility of Story Telling Competition

- Participants who are allowed to join “Story Telling” competition are Senior High School students of class X, XI, and XII from Java and Bali regions.

- Rounds

1. Preliminary Round (Prepared Story)

Fairytales are free; every participant can choose any fairytale he/she wants to perform except:

- Hansel and Gretel
- The Golden Goose
- The Seven Ravens
- Rapunzel
- Queen Bee
- The Poor Man and the Rich Man

2. Semi Final (Top 15, Lottery Story)

Top 15 participants will perform in a form of a group. Each group consists of 3 members based on the lottery, but the scoring is individual.

3. Final (Top 5)

Top 5 participants will be given a short beginning of the story and they will continue the story according to their own creativity, the ending must not be the same as the real story but without changing the moral values.

- The story script for preliminary round must be copied triple and attached with a copy of student identity card and submitted on the technical meeting day.

- Duration

1. Preliminary Round : min. 5 minutes and max. 7 minutes
2. Semi Final : min. 6 minutes and max. 9 minutes
3. Final : min. 7 minutes and max. 10 minutes

- The participants are allowed to use properties and costumes to support their performance

- Caps

40 participants (each school can send their delegation maximum 2 participants)

- Registration Fee

1. Phase I:

August 18th – September 1st 2015: Rp. 130.000/participant

2. Phase II:

September 2nd – September 23rd 2015: Rp. 160.000/participant

- Champions categories:

1. Champion
2. 1st Runner Up
3. 2nd Runner Up
4. Best Costume

What is BEYOND ?

BEYOND or Brawijaya English Youth Competition and Olympiad is an english competition held by English Student Association (ESA) and Association of English Education Students (AEELS), Faculty of Culture Studies University of Brawijaya Malang. Formerly ESA had English Student Competition (ESC) that had been run for 4 years and Brawijaya English Olympiad (BEO) from AEELS had been run for 2 years. However, to make the bigger and better English Competition in Faculty of Culture Studies University of Brawijaya Malang, ESA and AEELS are willing to cooperate and build up a new english competition and so, BEYOND was born.

BEYOND has 5 fields of competition. Debate Competition, Story Telling Competition, Short Movie Competition, Newscasting Competition and English Olympiad. Bringing up the theme of “Splash the Youthful Spirit Through Humanity Movement” BEYOND invite you, the senior high school students from Java and Bali regions to compete well this year! Wishing the youth to understand well and lead their spirit to a positive and useful matter by being a critical, perceptive and realist in facing the nowadays issues such as; humanity. The youth contribution can be counted from doing the simplest way by joining this year Brawijaya English Youth Competition and Olympiad 2015. To be supportive, make a friend, and raise the potency inside you are some of experiences that you will get in joining BEYOND.

Lastly, BEYOND 2015 will be held on October 23rd-25th 2015 and there is no other doubt to join this year prestigious competition!!!!!! What are you waiting for? Come and grab the form of BEYOND 2015! Splash youth ambition and be a better generation!
