Short Movie
Have you ever seen a good
movie and you feel you want to direct your own? Or you have had your own movie
but you don’t know what it is for? Find the answer on BEYOND 2015!!! Brace
yourself and show your talent!
Rules and Eligibility of Short Movie Competition
- Java
and Bali High School participant (each team consist of 5 members)
- Theme
for the competition is “Humanity in Everyday Life”
- Movie
type: fiction
- Competition entrants must submit their entries in
(Mp4) format with the video resolution minimum 720p and video codec H.264
- Your movie must be narrated in English and if there is
a dialogue in another language, you must provide subtitle in English.
- Total running time for each movie has to be at least
10 minutes and maximum 15 minutes, including titles and credits.
- Round
1. Preliminary
Round
The assessment of this round is close assessment
therefore the participants does not required to come to Malang.
2. Final (Top 5)
The participants are required to come to Malang in order to
present their movie in front of the adjudicators.
- Submissions
You can only submit maximum 2 movies. However, there
are three rules that apply:
1. Every
submitted movie has to be registered separately. Please do not send multiple movies
within just one application.
2. Please do
not submit any movies that has already been sent (and/or declined) in any other
competition before. We are only interested in your newest works from the last
2014.
3. If you have
more than one movie to be submitted, the first movie that you have submitted
will be immediately accepted and the next movie will be put on the waiting
list. If the registrant’s quota is unfulfilled, your movie will be entered later.
- Movie File Submissions and
File Naming
1. After making
the payments through the Bank and do an online registration, the film makers
will receive a short message as confirmation of their registration. Then the movie
has to be transmitted to the committee. This can be done through mail or post only. We do not send your items back. Please only send final cuts, no previews, no watermarks. In case your film will be picked into the official selection, we will screen the file which you have sent in.
2. The
submissions requirements:
a. Your final works must be sent in DVD-RW
b. Copies of student identity cards of 5 representatives
of the team (each personnel has to submit 2 copies)
c. Synopsis of the movie
The submitted movie file must be named as follows.
Please use capital letters.
For example:
BEYOND 2015 – SYARIF MAULANA – TITLE OF THE MOVIE

1. BEYOND 2015 accepts no
responsibility for lost, late or undelivered entries, notifications or
communications. BEYOND 2015 reserves the right at its sole discretion to:
a. Cancel, terminate, modify or suspend
the competition; or
b. amend these terms and conditions where reasonably
necessary.
2. By entering the Competition, you
give BEYOND permission to contact you from time to time with essential updates
about the competition and, of course, contact you if you win.
